Baby it’s hot out there…….

It’s a refreshing 41 degrees outside and about 51 in my craft room. I was really motivated to make lots of cards for today’s blog hop but can not bear to be in there. Luckily I have just come back from a four day scrapbooking retreat and used lots of Stampin Up products on my pages!

The theme for today’s blog hop is something sweet and I think the very versatile Cool Treats stamp set perfectly fits the bill.
I was scrapping photos from my most recent trip to the USA and had some photos of a very healthy breakfast I wanted in the album……

This set incorporates two stamp stamping. This means you stamp a lighter colour and then stamp over it in a darker colour to add accents. I started by stamping my cups and ice cream.

The base of my ice cream was So Saffron so next step was to stamp the ice cream accents in a darker colour. I used Sahara Sand.

I was using a Project Life page protector from Stampin’ Up and I still had an extra space to fill and decided to do something I rally do anymore and use my own hand writing. I wrote it in pencil first and then used a Stampin’ Write marker to add the writing and accent it with dots.

Of course I rubbed out the pencil lines once I was done! The finished page……

I promise once it cools down to make some cards with this set.

Don’t forget my open house this Sunday 15th January. Just pop in anytime between 12:30 and 4:30.

What is a blog hop?

Until his week I wasn’t sure but now we can learn together! A blog hop is a way to visit other blogs that are related to the content on this one! Every Wednesday I will be participating in the Freshly Brewed Blog Hop and this weeks theme was the new Stampin Up Watercolour Pencils!  To help show you how cool they are I used them on an item you can earn for free during Salebration that I have accented using a stamp available in the new occasions catalogue.

The pencils are a new item in the Occassions Catalogue which you can purchase from right now! To creat my card I used the Inside the Lines Designer Series paper. This is one of the many items you can earn for free from now until the 31st March 2017. You can pick one item for every $90 you spend.

This pack includes 12 sheets of 12×12 paper that is ready for you to colour yourself. The pack contains three sheets each of four designs.

Before we start let me quickly explain how you use the pencils. There is no need to colour in exactly, just stay inside the lines. I try to press heavier in some places to get a depth of shade. You then use an aqua pen to blend the colours.

Here is a photo of the process underway.

To finish off my card I mounted my picture on some Daffodil Delight after I inked the edges in Rose Red ink. I added some glitter to my little bee and stamped a sentiment from the new Beautiful You stamp set.

I cut my sheet of 12×12 into six sections. These means I could make 72 cards from this free pack of paper!

Don’t forget I have my open house and catalogue launch on Sunday 15th Janaury. Pop in anytime from 1 until 4:30 pm. I will have displays, special gifts, items for sale and special offers. If you need my address please send an email to . Alternatively you can contact me through my Facebook page.

Please have a chat with me if you love being creative and would like to make some extra money to spend on craft supplies, supplement your family income or just because you like making extra money!

Now the whole point of a hop is for you to hop! There are only two of us in this weeks hop so please visit Libby a time:

Until next time happy crafting!

More “Love You Lots”

This weeks stamp set that I have chosen to share is Love You Lots. This is a hostess stamp set that you can earn from holding a workshop in your home or by placing a big order all to yourself!

This is One of the cutest stamp sets I own. And today’s card uses the cutest stamp……the baby elephant!
To make the card you will need the strap set, a sheet of Marina Mist card stock, some scraps of white and Crumb Cake card stock as well as a small piece of pattern paper in a co-ordinating colour.

Cut the Marina Mist card stock (A4) in half and score and fold it into a card……..stamp your elephant using black ink onto the pattern paper. Carefully cut the elephant out just slightly outside the outline.

Stick the elephant down on your white cardstock using some adhesive tape. Mat the white onto the Crumb Cake and then mount this onto the folded card. The last step is to stamp the sentiment onto the card near the elephants trunk. For those of you as slow as my husband this card shows the elephant thinking of “you”.

A Quick Card for a Quick Introduction!

Hi I’m Sandie……it’s great to meet you!  My first introduction to paper craft was scrapbooking almost 21 years ago. Remember when Creative Memories was all you could get in Australia? About ten years ago I discovered Stampin’ Up and I have been a demonstrator for a few years now.

What do I love about Stampin’ Up? You know those moments when you realise you forgot to buy a birthday, Valentines or Mothers’ Day card? I never get those moments! Ok I do but they don’t last long because I know I can make a card in just a few minutes.

I also love that if I want to I can make an elaborate card or scrapbook page that takes me a lot longer! There are lots of ways that you can find out more about what I do:

  1. Subscribe to this blog!
  2. Go to my Stampin’ Up page…… and do some exploring.
  3. Or book in to a class at my home or even better host one at your place.  This way you can earn stamps for free!

Just to prove how quick it is I used these two stamp sets:

To make a cute little thank you card. I timed myself. It took me 7 minutes including getting up and finding what I needed!  Want to see?
